Bonne Année à tous! Time for another resolution!
How many of us like to have something to listen to in the background while we work? I certainly do, and traditionally, I would put on my favorite tunes. Recently, however, I have began to use those times as individual professional development. I thought I would share two resources with everyone, in the hopes that they will lead you into teaching stardom!

This year, President Obama wrote a letter to everyone observing National French Week! His letter was written to inspire and encourage us in our endeavors teaching and promoting the study of French. I hope you received a copy of it from Jayne Abrate, the Executive Director of the AATF. I am happy to forward a copy as well.
Today, I told my students that we are going to "do it up big" for National French Week! This afternoon, we are having our French club meeting to plan how to make our school a little Francophone island (and make every student want to enroll in French next year)!

This past weekend, the KS AATF met in Kansas City during the convention to discuss increasing membership in Kansas, the Grand Concours and other business. It was great to share ideas for how to reach out to each other. We were fortunate to have Catherine Ousselin visit with us to set us on the right footing in our endeavors.
